Freedom Series is a comprehensive, fully integrated phonics program

Information on Each CD
in the Series:
 In
Reading Freedom 1 students start by learning the sounds the letters
make and go on to blend these sounds together to make words. Students
also learn to spell these words, and to read sentences made from the
words. They then go onto adding word endings and then to reading comprehension
passages based around the sounds and words learned in each unit of work.

 In
Reading Freedom 2 students learn to use sophisticated phonics
skills to read words containing vowel and consonant digraphs, vowel-consonant-final
'e', long vowels and the soft 'c' and soft 'g' sounds, and asks them
to demonstrate mastery of these words through a series of activities.
This involves blending words that cannot be recognized immediately,
spelling, and extensive word recognition activities that include the
reading of comprehension passages based around the sounds and words
learned in each unit of work. [More information

 Reading
Freedom 3 is specifically designed for students at the intermediate
stage of their reading acquisition, including those students with reading
problems. The program enables students to use sophisticated phonics
skills to read words containing diphthongs, vowel sounds before 'r',
vowel digraphs and silent letters, and asks them to demonstrate mastery
of these words through a series of activities. This involves blending
words that cannot be recognized immediately, spelling, basic sight vocabulary,
and extensive word recognition activities. [More

 Reading
Freedom 4 is specifically designed for students who lack independent
reading skills, including those students with reading problems. The
program teaches students to use the essential skills necessary to deal
with the long and complex words they encounter in their reading experiences.
It enables them to read multi-syllabic words and those containing prefixes,
base words and suffixes, compound words, and contractions. [More

 Reading
Freedom 5 - Achievement Tests is a valuable diagnostic tool for
parents and teachers. The carefully structured tests have been specifically
designed to monitor student progress through the Reading Freedom series
of programs, by providing a familiar and non-threatening form of assessment.
