The lessons and exercises are self-paced and students can work independently through the lessons, if required.

Phonics Alive introduces five clusters of sounds from singles to blends
There are twenty self paced modules with clear auditory instructions, so no previous reading ability is required.
Letters are studied in beginning, medial & ending positions.
Progress can be recorded & printed.
Keyboard stickers with lowercase alphabet letters are included so the letters on the screen match those on the keyboard!

Extra resources included with School Versions:

A 110 page teaching guide including lower case keyboard stickers, 69 flashcards and blackline masters which can be copied and used in the classroom are included with School Versions, Lab Packs and Site Licences. A wonderful resource for all teachers!

Lowercase keyboard stickers are included to help young students and ESL students easily navigate their computer keyboard. Extra packs are available. [More information]

Windows: Pentium 133MHz or faster IBM-compatible PC with SVGA display, 32 Mb RAM, 4 x CD-ROM player with 16 bit Sound Blaster compatible sound card, running Windows 95 or later. Display set to thousands of colours.
Macintosh: Power PC running System 8.6 to 9.x, with 64 Mb Ram, a 14" monitor displaying thousands of colours, (16 bit) and a 4 x CD-ROM player.
