EyeSpeak is an extremely convenient and cost effective alternative to English conversation classes. For those of you already enrolled in an English language course, the pronunciation exercises can supplement your learning activities and help improve your English conversation skills.

Speech Recognition

When you log in, you are asked to fill a brief questionnaire (name, gender, and country of origin). The software differentiates between males and females to increase the accuracy level of the speech recognition system, and also to enable you to identify better with your tutor. The program also differentiates between 26 different ethnic backgrounds.

When you register and confirm your country of origin, the software automatically identifies pronunciation problems and outlines a lesson plan that targets these specific problems.

Various English Accents

EyeSpeak English also recommends a tutor whose voice will closely match yours for more effective results.

The variety of accents available: Australian, British, American and New Zealand English. It is possible to change the accent during practice.

Pronunciation, Listening and Vocabulary Skills

EyeSpeak English raises your confidence in pronunciation by comparing you to a native speaker and giving you a greater understanding of the particular accent you are learning. You not only develop your speaking skills, but you also enhance your listening ability thanks to the selection of exercises.

You can work on minimal pairs to learn to differentiate between close sounds.

You can test your hearing by listening to and identifying random words chosen by EyeSpeak. The playback options enable you to hear subtleties you may have missed previously.
