CD-ROM is an interactive multimedia computer resource for adult literacy
and numeracy learners.
What is the CGEA?
Certificates in General
Education for Adults.
The CGEA is an accredited adult literacy and numeracy course produced
by ARIS, the Adult Education Resource and Information Service, Language
Australia, on behalf of the Adult Community and Further Education Board,
Victoria, Australia.
 The
CGEA CD-ROM provides learning, practice and assessment tasks for each
of the Learning Outcomes described in Levels 2, 3 and 4 of the literacy,
oracy and numeracy streams of the CGEA.
Special Educational Features of the CGEA CD-ROM:
The activities are based around practical real life activities.
The program provides learners with verbal context-specific explanations
if they make a mistake.
Learners can print a summary of the steps involved for each Learning
Outcome.
The additional practice activities included for each Learning Outcome
allow learners to further consolidate the skills acquired or may be
used by teachers as assessment tasks.
